What is a Delikatessen?
The term comes from the German Delikatessen, delikat meaning “delicate”, essen, “to eat.” In Germany, Switzerland and Austria, Delikatessens are stores offering refined grocery products, while in the USA and Canada, the delicatessen (which lost its “k” in the process) is a grocery store that also serves as a snack bar: sandwiches, salads and soups, eat-in or take-away, are prepared to order in often bustling stalls.

Kaviari takes its inspiration from the original delikatessen and the American deli to create a convivial place that combines both delicatessen products and a tasting counter where homemade dishes based on seafood and vegetarian products are prepared every day.
