A Rare Encounter Between Two Virtuosos
On Monday, 23 March, the Kaviari Manufacture welcomes two leading figures of contemporary gastronomy for an exceptional dinner: Kei Kobayashi, the first Japanese chef to be awarded three Michelin stars in France, and Dominique Crenn, the acclaimed chef of Atelier Crenn in San Francisco and the first woman in the United States to earn three Michelin stars.
Dominique Crenn's cuisine is both poetic and deeply committed, blending her Breton roots with Californian flavours and Asian influences. Guided by the same artistic vision and environmental sensibility, Kei Kobayashi reinterprets the traditions of French haute cuisine through the harmony and refinement of Japanese aesthetics.
Each in their own way, these two culinary virtuosos celebrate the richness of nature and the sea: Kei through precision and purity, Dominique through emotion and storytelling. For one unforgettable evening, their worlds will come together in a four-hand menu, with caviar serving as the common thread that unites their shared culinary narrative.
